Düsseldorf Day 3!!
Woke up early in the morning, had a little squabble about mundane things. Went to the Rhein Park via his jogging route, sat under the sun on one of the benches in the middle of the big field.
Walked along the Rhine River, all the way until Medienhafen! There were some beautiful buildings there!
It was so sunny and the structure (pic above) looks so artistically random, I had to climb up there! Ended up spending 20 mins lazing there and taking pics! :D
Headed to Medienhafen (Media Harbour) after lazing in the sunshine. More beautiful buildings~
Walked for about 2 hours and headed back for lunch. Cooked spaghetti and Keaton did salad. Yummy! Although he did put raspberry jam into the salad... -.- LOL.
So tired after lunch and slept the afternoon away. Woke up at 6:30pm and realised that the weather was so good! Pity we slept it away. haha..
To make up for the lost time, we decided to visit the rhine tower, which was included in the Welcome Card! :D
View was fabulous up there. The last time I went up there, we could only recongnise buildings for 20mins before it turned very dark. This time, we took our time to enjoy the beautiful landscape of Düsseldorf!
What a lazy Saturday afternoon it was, we just sat there... and watched the sun set. As we were there since around 8pm, it seemed to take ages for the sun to set (9+pm) . But as the sun reaches the horizon, time seem to fly by so quickly, I was racing against time to get nice pics of the sunset!! At this point in time, it suddenly struck me that Earth is actually spinning. But we don't feel it. And also, that my friends in SG will be seeing the same sun that I saw... in just 3 hrs' time. So cool.
Headed back home, cooked Bulgoggi meat, rice and lettuce for dinner! Simple but really yummy! Love all the Korean sauces I've tried so far. It was our last dinner in Germany together. Will surely miss all the dinners we've cooked and shared these months!!! :(
Supposed to watch a movie together after dinner but Keaton fell aslp. LOL. Watched "Angels and Demons" alone instead. Watched it before in Berlin, when Dezmand was here. The German dubbed version. Was horrible cos I couldn't understand 50% of what they were talking about! The only consolation was that I read 1/3 of the book and knew at least the plot. After watching the original film, I realised that I misunderstood many parts of the film in German. haha.. Maybe my German's not good after all! :(
Last day tomorrow. Hope for sunny weather....
