Blue Man Group!
Woke up at 12:30pm, damn late. Wanted to walk around Tiergarten but weather was bad, cloudy, cold and supposed to rain. Arranged to meet Jerry at 2:15pm at Friedrichstrasse S-bahn station. Friedrichstrasse is their shopping street by the way. Was late cos of lunch :P
Walked down the very very long street but nothing fancy caught my eye. Ok, or maybe they were all too fancy. All the branded European goods, poor me have no money to buy. Haha!
Had 2 scoops of ice cream along the Spree river. YUMMY! hehe. And went walking again. Walked in the park for at least 30mins, finally reaching Potsdamer Platz, where I was last week! Passed by a place that was really beautiful. Somewhere new! :D
Realised that the Bluemax Theatre was there, a theatre specially for the show Blue Man Group, very famous in Berlin. Jerry and I had nothing to do, so went to check out the prices! Last 2 reduced price tickets at €29.90. Quite reasonable. So we bought them! :D
Chilled at a bar for 1.5 hrs, sat outside on the sofa seats facing the pedestrians' walkway, doing what Europeans love to do: people-watching. It was really weird cos the seat arrangement was as if u're watching TV in the living room, just that the 'screen' is VERY wide, the 'show' was 3D and there was no story, just moving pictures. Jerry did a good job trying to convince me how interesting people-watching can be. But I still can't understand why so many Europeans love watching and commenting on people! hehe! :P
Ate Currywurst for the first time so far in Berlin! Was yummy and filling although it's just sausage and fries. Heard that the 'Currywurst 36' at Mehringdamm (which I took photo of previously) is very famous. Sounds like a future food-hunting trip!! :D
The Blue Man Group show started at 9pm. It was totally out of what I had in mind man. SUPER FUNNY and INTERACTIVE! It was just like a Mr Bean show, where one does not need to speak to convey humor. Filled with surprises throughout and I was laughing all the way! Loved it!! Good thing Jerry was there too, to translate for me when I didn't understand or missed something! The show lasted for about 2 hrs and it went by so quickly!! I want more more more!!!! hehe... :D
Wasn't in the mood for clubs so we chilled at a bar around Gendarmenmarkt. The night view was so pretty there. Talked for hours before taking a chilly walk back home. Really admire those pple who are very good with directions, can walk around anywhere without getting lost!! Since I dun have such abilities, I'm just glad to know pple who do :D
Several plans in mind tomorrow. Nonetheless, it would be another fun-filled day! I hope! :D
