Salsa + Strand Bar No. 1!

Went for Jose’s Salsa class after work. My first Salsa class. Quite a few pple turned up today, about 16 pple. I was a total newbie in the class, did some steps for warm-up and then Rueda, a group Salsa dance. It was fun, though at some times, they did stuff that I didn’t know how to do and I just stood there! =X

After the class, Tania, one of Jose’s students, invited us all to her place for some food and gathering. She had it planned and cooked some stuff for us. Though new there, I went along! Her place was just opposite Kulturbrauerei, where SODA club is. Her apartment was really pretty! A bedroom, huge living room with warm lighting and lotsa paintings (which she drew by herself!) hung on the walls. Almost everyone (around 12 pple) from Salsa class went to her place!

It’s incredible how welcoming Tania was. Can never imagine someone from dance in SG suddenly inviting everyone in class to their place for dinner. Must be chaotic and nerve-wrecking for the host!Had really nice food there. Chatted with Tania and another gal while washing up the dishes. Really nice :)

After dinner, a few of us went to Strand Bar No. 1 near Oranienburgerstrasse, opposite Bode Museum. The location was so nice! Bar along the Spree River, open air area with a dancefloor and many seats to chill out. It’s like dancing under the stars! Hehe… Only thing was that the music was kinda soft, so not much atmosphere. Had lotsa fun there dancing salsa as usual. Even met one of my bosses there! haha!

Today’s Seow Ting’s birthday. Once again, my best fren but I missed her bdae!! But anw, she’s so popular, so I believe she won’t be alone during her bdae! Happy 21^st birthday Seow Ting!!! Hope that u’ll become famous soon! When u become famous, dun forget me ok!!! Must give me ur debut album ok!!! Haha.. Miss her loads too :)
