Italy Adventure day 5: Rome
Went to Piazza di Porta Portese in the morning as our travel guide mentioned that there's a flea mkt there. The flea mkt was like a pasar malam, only that it's in the day and probably 8 times bigger with more variety. The stuff they sold there was damn cheap! Clothes sold from €1.. Though the store was very messy; clothes spilled out on the table and everyone dug into them, I could actually find stuff that fits! Spent €22.50 there on 6 items, including a €10 boots. haha
This is only a PART of the mkt
Ponantino Trio.
Supposed to visit the Colosseum and Palatine Hill today but shopping killed our plans so we decided to postpone it to tml! Ate pizza at a Cafe near the Flea Mkt. Decided to sit down and eat as they would serve it warm.. But guess what, to take away is €1.50 while to eat at the Cafe was €3.00! 100% service charge. haha.. But anw, the pizza was warm & yummy!
Cheese + 'raw meat' but yummm.. :)
Since our visit to Colosseum and etc was postponed, we had to visit places we intended to go tml, today. Walked to see the ruins of Rome, Il Vittoriana (tomb of unknown soldier), the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the four fountains on the street and Piazza Independenza.
We walked so so sooo much (cos we got lost sometimes and had to walk back) that by the time we reached the Pantheon, we simply sat at the fountain opposite it and STONED for abt 10mins.
