Updates Updates
I'm back! So much things have happened the past few months, from the day I arrived in Germany till orientation week is over and from the day I had my first lecture in WHU till the last test I sat for in the Glaskasten building. Friendships forged, travels made, laughter and joy shared.
For the past few months, as a summary, since I'm so lazy to update, I went to Munich in the middle of February, when it was freezingly cold. Keaton rented a car and drove us (3.5 Koreans, 0.5 German and me) there. Most scary car ride on the Autobahn =X but thank God we made it; ca. 1000km in total. Went to Neuschwanstein for the 2nd time in my life (I believe there will be a 3rd time!); nothing much changed, only the weather. FREEZING. Went to the Dachau concentration camp too. It was an eye-opener. Can't imagine how one could survive the bitterly cold winter!!! Had a litre of beer at Hofbräuhaus and ate Schweinhaxen. Toured BMW museum too :)
Munich
Next, I went to Barcelona which was super pretty and coolingly warm in the beginning of march. A nice break from the cold Germany weather at that time. I could even walk around without a jacket! Really beautiful. The weather, the buildings, the scenery. Loved it. Loved Gaudi too! Spent some awesome moments with lovely people from Asia there: Alice, Cherry, Keaton and Sean :)
Barcelona
End of march came and I travelled to London for 5 days! Busy city that resembled Singapore very much. Stayed at paul's place which was in a perfect location! Lovely place. Cosmopolitan. Could totally imagine myself staying there. Shopped alot and sightsaw alot as well. but couldn't really finish seeing.London
London was my last overseas travel before my big europe travel when dez comes over. In the beginning of April, travelled alone to Triberg, meeting paul and Guotong halfway. Went to Triberg and to Baden Baden. Had a nice time with them! :)After that came a series of private banking, alternative investment and german lectures. Studying and finally, exams. On the last day of my alternative investment exam (20th April), I was feeling quite sad as I thought that everything was coming to an end. That this would be the end of my journey in Germany and probably, with German. However, I received a mail; an internship offer! I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the offer. On the last few days in Germany, I actually received an offer. Will be staying in Berlin till mid-august. Overjoyed :)
Dezmand came and we travelled: Koblenz -> Munich -> Mannheim ->Heidelberg -> Stuttgart -> London (yes, again) -> Liverpool -> Paris -> Zurich -> Vienna -> Prague -> Berlin
Loved Paris, Zurich and Prague especially. Updates on later datessss :P
Today is the day 10 of my stay in Berlin. The day Dezmand leaves for SG as well. Said goodbye to him during lunch and met Sean for dinner. Had a great dinner catching up with each other's lives after 1 month has passed. Unbelievable. Really missed those times in Vallendar. Said goodbye to him as well. Now, in my room, time to go on a diet, to organise my life a little and to be alone.
