Bonn!

Met Keaton, Sean and Eun-seuk at the train station at 1045am. As mentioned 2 entries ago, I visited Eun-suk's korean-german church in Bonn today. It was a fun & interesting visit. Had these huge headphones where there'd be german translation while the service carried on in Korean. Understood almost everything that was translated. Only thing was that the Preacher spoke for v v long before there was juz 1 or 2 sentence of German. So i guess, i got the most important parts of the sermon ba haha..

Our Destination!

Service starts...

After the service, lunch was provided, korean-style. DAMN NICE. hahaha... Had rice and lots of vege and kimchi and some meat. The kimchi tasted GREAT, unlike those I ate at foodcourt in SG, can puke wan =X

Lunch! Yum...

Eating with all the koreans!

After that, we strolled around Bonn, the birthplace of Beethoven, and headed to an ulu pub to drink some German beer! As it was sunday, most shops are closed besides eateries and pubs, and these are usually crowded! Eunseok's fren brought us to a very nice pub which interior was like that of a subway. Had Hefe-Weizen. was nice, like any beers. Eunseok treated all of us! So generous! :)

Above the door reads: Beethoven's birth house

We're tourists!

In front of Bonn University

Beautiful sun :D

At the ulu but pretty bar
After chatting for a long time (overwhelmed by korean convos), we headed to the sushi bar where Eunseok's fren worked at. Had Toridon. Quite affordable restaurant, like those in SG, just that they're in Euros. haha. Eunseok's fren treated us to many stuff! Free kimchi, free drinks, yummmm... haha.

10 Koreans and 2 Singaporeans!

Time went by quickly and soon we had to leave for the train station. The train was leaving in 10 mins' time and we were still at the sushi bar! So we ran all the way to the train station! It was so tiring cos the air was so cold and it hurt to breathe too deeply. When we finally reached the platform, we realised that we still had 10 mins' time. Keaton's nose bled! Probably due to the running. haha.

All the running after the train reminded me of Germany 2.5 yrs back when the LEP students and I were so confused about the transport systems in Germany and always had to rush for trains. It's not just like missing an MRT ride cos train intervals could last for an hour. It was the last train to Koblenz I ran for by the way. Thank God we boarded :D
